Key features

Excel shortcuts on Google Sheets — keyboard-first modeling, formula trace, and Slides chords.

Core is free forever. Pro is launching soon (planned $7.99/mo, $69/yr, or $149 lifetime, with a 14-day free trial). It will add trace dependents, goal seek, and what-if tables, and future Pro tools will be included at no extra cost. Items marked "coming later, Pro" will join Pro when they ship. See Pricing.

Trace precedents (Free)

Open a panel on the active formula — the Sheets equivalent of Excel’s Trace Precedents. List every direct reference, jump with ↑↓, drill with Enter, return with F5. Escape closes. Free in Core.

Trace dependents (Pro, launching soon)

Scan for cells that reference the selection. Bounded, cancelable searches keep partial matches and say when coverage stopped short — never a silent empty “none.”

Goal seek (Pro, launching soon)

Pick a formula cell, a target, and one input. Preview the solved value, then apply only when you choose.

What-if analysis (Pro, launching soon)

One- or two-input scenario tables from a selected model range. Review results before writeback.

Format cycles (coming later, Pro)

Number, percent, date, currency, and more — cycle custom formats on the selection. Same idea for font and fill colors.

Auto-color (Pro, launching soon)

Flag hardcodes and cross-tab links on a selection or whole sheet. API path; undo via SheetSpeed history where supported.

Export selection as image (Pro, launching soon)

Render the selected range to PNG for Slides or Docs. Clipboard write when the browser allows; manual copy/download otherwise.

Excel-shaped Sheets shortcuts

Insert/delete, paste special, borders, merge, filters, alignment, decimals, zoom, and more — routed through Google’s own UI where possible. Built for people switching from Excel to Google Sheets.

PowerPoint-shaped Slides shortcuts

Ordering, distribute, align objects/text, group/ungroup, font size — on selected shapes.

Customizable shortcuts

Change bindings in Settings. Free in Core.

SheetWhiz alternative & Macabacus Sheets path

Looking for a SheetWhiz alternative or “Macabacus for Google Sheets”? SheetSpeed is independently authored for Chrome + Sheets/Slides. Compare capabilities honestly on About and the Store listing — we do not claim universal parity.
